Group Session · FAQ

Specific questions about the group session. For general questions about Watsu, hydrotherapy, location and cancellation, see the main FAQ.

  1. Can I come alone or do I need a group?

You can come alone. The group session is open to individual bookings — most people sign up without knowing the other participants. The group forms in the water. We also accept bookings in pairs, with family, or in small groups of friends.

  2. How many people take part?

The session is limited to a small number of participants to preserve experience quality and individual care within the collective. The exact number of spots for each date is shown on the booking page.

  3. How does it work in a group if the work is so intimate?

The group session is different from the individual one — it does not replace it. Instead of each person being guided directly by the facilitator the whole time, the group is led together through movements, rocking and floats, with more punctual moments of touch and support. The water also acts as the element between people — intimacy in the group session is more with the water than with the other participants.

  4. Can I come with family or as a couple?

Yes. Couples, families or groups of friends can book together for the same session. For groups of more than 5 people, contact us on WhatsApp before booking so we can prepare the session accordingly.

  5. Do I need to interact with the other participants?

The session is in silence. How each person interacts with the others is your own choice and happens during the session — you can stay almost entirely to yourself or open up more to the collective sharing. There is no conversation or imposed active interaction.

  6. Is there more than one facilitator in the group session?

Yes. The group session has the main facilitator plus a helper to ensure every participant receives care and support in the water. The exact number depends on the size of the group for that session.

  7. How often are group sessions held?

Group sessions happen regularly — weekly, biweekly or monthly depending on the season. To see the next available date, open the booking page.

  8. Is the group session cheaper than the individual one?

The per-person price for the group session is usually lower than the individual one, since the work is distributed. Check current prices when booking. Residents of Chapada dos Veadeiros get a different rate.
